# Choose the Background Layer for the 2D Reference Map

You can **change the base layer used in the dynamic 2D reference map** located in the bottom left of Jakartowns.

1. Use the first button on the left (two-layer icon).
2. Choose from several map backgrounds: Outdoor, Dark, Satellite Streets, Streets, and Light.
