# Displaying Raster Tiles

You can **enhance the 2D reference map by displaying the tiled layer created by** [**Tiles**](https://docs.jakarto.com/guide-tiles/en)**.** These images (also called raster tiles) are generated on-the-fly from LiDAR data.

1. Use the "**Jakarto Tiles**" button to display LiDAR data projected at ground level. A time selector lets you request the corresponding layers based on the available capture years.

The richness and level of detail of these images will help you better visualize cracks, pavement markings, manholes, and curbs.

> **Note**: The Tiles service isn't included in every subscription. If that's the case for yours, a message will let you know and the layer will stay disabled.

## Available Display Styles

The menu located above the 2D map lets you select the layer's style.

### Intensity

This layer represents the point cloud's **maximum intensity** projected in 2D. It highlights fine details of the surrounding environment.

### 2D Ground Rasters

This layer displays the **intensity** projected in 2D, but only for points corresponding to the ground. The canopy is no longer visible, but pavement markings, cracks, and manholes are easier to identify.

### Verticality

The **Verticality** layer represents the analysis of the local geometry of the points. High verticality indicates that points are aligned on a vertical plane. This style is useful for visualizing height variations and detecting significant elevation changes.

### 2.5D Rasters

This layer represents a **digital terrain model (DTM)**, providing a precise and detailed representation of ground topography.

<figure><img src="https://4125772431-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FP8V5DV7IBnVaRHIDMd6N%2Fuploads%2Fruip2ZO0OweI6zkXsjyr%2Fjkt-t-ground2.5D.png?alt=media&amp;token=67c3fe4e-4217-48f6-a01c-0a1e95eb2c20" alt="2.5D raster tiles"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Classification

This layer visualizes the **classification of objects** present in the LiDAR data, using the same categories as those used for [point clouds](/guide-jakartowns/en/getting-started-with-jakartowns/styles_affichage.md#colorization-by-classification).

In the classification raster layers, colors are assigned as follows:

* Vegetation: green
* Buildings: orange
* Ground: blue
* Cables: red
* Poles: beige
* Vehicles and other objects: yellow

## Want to Use These Tiled Layers in Your Own GIS?

Our Tiles web service is designed for that! It provides raster tiles through a WMTS or XYZ feed. Instructions are provided in [the Tiles Service Guide](https://docs.jakarto.com/guide-tiles/en). Your GIS will be enriched with these beautiful raster tiles.
